Mission Jupiter is one of the few Belarusian bands with top alternative rock sound. It is known for their dramatic, atmospheric sound wrapped around soothing female vocals. “Sometimes It Hurts” blends alternative and progressive rock influences with beautiful harmonies and the enchanting voice of new singer Kate Varsak. “This new song is an epic Mission Jupiter rock ballad” says songwriter / guitarist Vlad Shvakel. “Kate’s vocals are deep and cosmic. The protagonist is mentally down, but by the end he chooses the light side, battling all the negativity. We hope it will resonate with our listeners on a profound level.”

Mission Jupiter has partnered with the award-winning Third Man Mastering to create a wide, warm, punchy sound for the song. “Bill Skibbe did a phenomenal job on mastering, as we expected” says Eugene Zuyeu, Mission Jupiter’s drummer and sound producer. “We’re opening a new chapter of Mission Jupiter with this song” says Kate Varsak. “And I am so happy to be a part of this!”

Mission Jupiter is an alternative rock band formed in Minsk, Belarus. It is one of the few Belarusian bands
with top notch alternative rock sound. Their dramatic songs are framed by a gloomy, modern, and
atmospheric sound. Mission Jupiter brings a breath of fresh air to today’s alternative and progressive rock
music combining various sounds, moods, and touching melodies that leave you breathless.

The history of the band is quite remarkable. Initially, the future project was organized as a musical
experiment. And when the project was created, no one thought that the activity of the band would
become something significant and compositionally mature.

The curious fact is that all members of Mission Jupiter have different musical preferences. This fact made
them write music that would go beyond the ordinary view and preferences of every musician.
During their career, the band released 2 albums (Architecture in 2018 and Talk To Me in 2021). They
recently announced the new vocalist Kate Varsak via social media, and now Mission Jupiter is presenting
the new music to the world!

Line-up:

Kate Varsak – vocals
Eugene Zuyeu – drums
Vladimir Shvakel – guitar
Dmitri Soldatenko – sax.
