Conceptualized in the Pacific Northwest, four piece alt metal band Beautiful Skeletons came together as a casual jam project between founding members Einar Einarsson and Tina Firefly in 2018. Both Einar and Tina brought years of seasoned musicianship and creativity to the table, birthing a unique style of catchy, dynamic metal.
As the project gained steam in 2021, the duo shuffled through various members and setbacks due to the COVID pandemic – forcing them to write and sit on a set of songs until the live music scene slowly thronged back to life.
In 2022, Beautiful Skeletons entered a management deal under former Saliva drummer and long time drumming legend Paul Crosby. Once pandemic restrictions loosened, the band then went beast mode, blasting through the Oregon and Washington music scenes, quickly gaining local traction with electrifyingly entertaining and memorable live performances.
The band played with a variety of notable acts such as Saliva, Glenn Cannon and the Damage Done, Vintersea, Dawn of Ouroboros and eventually a two week, East coast tour with Yngwie Malmsteen. That summer, the band released its first EP – “Vegvisir” – containing a total of five tracks, followed by three successful music videos garnering thousands of plays on YouTube and Spotify. The current line up consists of Tina Firefly (vocals), Einar Einarsson (guitar), Jason Johnson (bass) and their newest addition to drums – Huwy Williams.
As the bands popularity has risen, they have played an impressive collection of shows at notable venues like Harpos (MI), Bossanova (OR) and an upcoming show at The Whisky A Go Go and an upcoming show as direct support for tribute band “The Iron Maidens”.
To date, the band has been featured in a handful of magazines, publications, music video reaction channels, and metal review blogs. The highly anticipated release of “Temperance” EP is generating significant local buzz and promises to blow the crotch right out of your pants. This will be a busy year for the band with opportunities to play various festivals and potentially abroad in Europe.
