Minneapolis cinematic metal outfit AfterTime managed to perfect a potent blend of Symphonic Metal and vibrant score-driven influences. The group’s music is larger-than-life and unapologetically epic, with a special focus on memorable arrangements and ambitious song structures, akin to cinematic scores. Recently, AfterTime managed to take the aforementioned
sonic formula to the next level, with the introduction of yet another fantastic album release, “The Farthest Shore”.
This upcoming record displays a world-class production, and AfterTime set out to capture an excellent set of performances, revealing the band’s huge dynamic range, as well as their powerful tone. The album, which will be released on September 25, 2020, is going to follow the band’s previous studio efforts, World We’ve Lost (2017) and The Fall of Light (2016).
While consistent with Aftertime attention to quality production, this album is a step forward, channeling the band’s willingness to expand its creative horizons. “The Farthest Shore” is going to be a great introduction to AfterTime and their music, and it definitely highlights the bright potential of the group.
