Introducing our Women of Metal Band of the Month Candidates for September 2015.

Yes it is that time again. Who is going to join some of the great bands who have won in the past? Bands like Heaven The Axe, EYE RA HAZE and Temtris (our only 2 time winner).

This months candidates are in no particular order A.D.D. – Analog Digital Disorder, Temperance, Control The Storm, Daemon Lost and Whyzdom…. Watch the video’s and vote for your favorite.. You can vote once daily. Voting will end on August 28, 2015 at 11:59 pm CDT and the winner will be announced Saturday August 29, 2015. 

A.D.D. – Analog Digital Disorder

header-a.d.d.-publicityphotoChicago-based A.D.D. is starting 2015 out with a bang, releasing their 2nd full-length hard hitting album “CORE” via Pavement Entertainment. The band has sold 6,000 cds independently and have amassed over 4,000 paid downloads.

They have played with KORN, Chevelle, Halestorm, Sevendust, Alterbridge, and Buckcherry to name a few. In addition, they have headlined some of Chicago’s most prestigious venues including House of Blues, Metro, and Mojoes. A.D.D. have also played major events such as Throttlefest at Toyota Park, Summerfest at Milwaukee Fairgrounds, and WIIL Rockfest in Twin Lakes, WI. The new album “CORE” was produced by Chris Wisco, mixed by Tadpole (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind) and mastered by Grammy Award winner Trevor Sadler. The album has already received spins at WYKT (SW Chicago), WIXO (Peoria, IL), and was the “420 Hit of The Day” on WIIL Rock (Chicago, IL). The band plans to tour throughout the new year in support of their new release “CORE”.

Control The Storm

control the stormControl The Storm are a melodic metal band based in the UK. Offering unforgettable melodies, an astounding double assault of dual guitars, atmospheric keys and the hard hitting rhythm section that modern metalheads crave. Control The Storm were awarded a slot on Bloodstock Festival’s ‘New Blood’ stage in 2012 after winning Reading’s ‘Metal To The Masses’ competition. Their 2010 debut EP was well received by a growing fan base and since then, a number of line up changes have seen the band strengthen. Their first full length album ‘Beast Inside’ released in March 2015 has won the interest of metal fans all over world, receiving great reviews from well respected magazines and critics. Watch out world, there’s a storm brewing!

WhyzdomThink of a huge orchestra and a massive symphonic choir intertwined with powerful riffs and enchanting melodies from a clear and passionate feminine voice, and you’ll get an idea of what WHYZDOM have managed to create. Their classical influences ranging from the romantic to the contemporary period, as well as the appealing melodies that drive the songs, make their sound utterly unmistakeable in an ever growing scene.

temperanceTemperance is born from musicians with more than 10 years of experience in the heavy metal music scene. An amazing mixture of tight guitars, metal riffs, electronics tracks and folk music’s elements, bounded together and enslaved to melody and power. Temperance is born in 2013 and since that year it works on its first full length album, which will be released in 2014 via Scarlet Records.

Dæmon Lost

Daemon LostDæmon Lost results from combining two styles that inspire passion among its members: metal music and symphonic music. Since 2009 they explore different metal subgenres, reaching a distinctive and unusual fusion of female leading vocals, symhponic arrangements and metalcore drums and riffs.
