Leeja Stark is an industrial metal band from Pittsburgh PA. Formed by lead singer Leeja Stark in early 2013. After a few trial and errors they found almost instant chemistry among current members; Ryan Martin (guitar), Thor Lesnock (drums), and Mitch Meverden (bass). The band has since released a 5 song EP with producer/ song writer Bret Stark. They also released their first music video to single Symptoms of Insanity.
Songs about love, hate and the supernatural world, Stark finds inspiration for songs in everyday life. The House of Eyes EP reveals dark lyrics but pop hooks falling into an electro industrial metal realm.
Stark has recently found success through the internet. Their first video receiving 199,000 youtube views in the first 24 hours. They then went on to become Insane Realm Radio’s Women of Metal Shows September 2013 band of the month. And were interviewed by various publications nationwide.
You can find Stark playing in and around the PIttsburgh area for the next few months. During this time they will be launching a kickstarter campaign promoting a video series to their first EP. If the series is funded they will begin recording right away and also begin writing and recording a full album.

The band finds the inspiration for its name in the French Second Empire, specifically the epic renovation of Paris commissioned and begun during this period. The modernization of Paris resulted in the city we see today, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, and was intended as a projection of the capital’s grandeur and the majesty of its nation. The period also gave name to the architectural style known as “Second Empire”; one of the best-known examples of this style is the famous Paris Opera House, home of the “Phantom of the Opera”…
In the ever changing music scene, few bands are able to accomplish what Second Empire has in just a short span. Already receiving comparisons to internationally renowned bands such as Evanescence, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Within Temptation and Delain, the band has begun to take the symphonic metal scene by storm.
Formed in the summer of 2011 by vocalist Alex Lindsay Roth and guitarist Bret Stark, the Pittsburgh based symphonic metal act is taking no prisoners in their conquest. After winning the first ever Pittsburgh Rock Challenge in January of 2012, the band embarked on a short tour of the north eastern United States, solidifying its already budding fan base. At the same time, the band teamed with renowned film maker Dan Handley to produce its first video, The Valley Beneath. The band then worked with producer Christopher Simmonds to record its first EP, Second Empire. Following the success of Second Empire, the band produced two singles – Birth of the Empire and The Nature of Healing.
In September 2012, Second Empire was honored to open for one of the most prestigious symphonic metal bands in the world, Kamelot. Also joining Second Empire at that time was drummer Matt Kastner. Shortly thereafter, the band headlined the Female Voices of Metal Festival and the Chicks Rock Fest.
“Our biggest goal, in Second Empire, is to help people discover some of the bands that have preceded us in the genre,” says Kastner. “We would love nothing more than to see people embrace the symphonic metal community in North America the way they have in Europe.”
The band is constantly collaborating on new music and bringing it to life in the recording studio and on stage. Although every song is different from the last, Second Empire’s sound is cohesive and distinctive. The band continues to connect with fans around the world because Second Empire believes that once you hear symphonic metal, you will be conquered.

In the realm of the corporate world, there lie fallacies so devious that it would take a certain kind of seedy corporation to cover-up and encourage such deceits. Enter Lies, Inc., a four piece progressive metal machine with a chairwoman at its front.
Through a combination of hard rock, punk, metal, and progressive, Lies, Inc. ensnares its listeners with sheer skill and driving force. With catchy hooks and an aggressive edge, this band brings a powerful female-fronted presence to the music scene.
While layoffs and new incentive programs have certainly altered the sound of the original corporation over the years, Lies, Inc. was reborn when front woman Lily Taylor entered the fold in 2011.
Since that time, they have been writing to a new-found sound of dark and aggressive progressive rock. With the help of artist Dani Kalakus, Lies, Inc. has affirmed their image as a twisted corporation bent on exploitation and deception.
A powerful musical entity that has reached fans all over the United States, Lies, Inc. continues to expand and perform throughout the East Coast.
Lies, Inc. plan to add to their self titled EP with the release of a highly anticipated full-length album at the close of 2014.

Lady Beast clawed its way into existence in early 2009 as a four piece. As with any new band, early on there were some lineup changes. The band played and slayed until spring of 2011 when we completed our 5 piece line up and polished our heavy metal sound.
In June of 2011 Lady Beast recorded its first self titled album (only on vinyl) and released the metal madness ourselves in the summer of 2012.
Since the release, Lady Beast has been getting some great opportunities, including Inferno Records (FRANCE) releasing the CD and cassette versions of album ( CD version includes a bonus track; Lady Beasts cover of Judas Priests “Ram it Down”) and some over seas exposure.
Lady Beast lives to rock and we have played everything from brutal basement shows, bars, and higher capacity venues.
The fire has been fueled and now Lady Beast is creating new metal masterpieces…faster and louder than before!
She is hungry and the Beast needs to feed.
